Like many I discovered Dungeon’s and Dragon’s in the early 1980’s and soon became consumed by it. I spent much of my free time as Game Master for D and D campaigns or playing what little fantasy or sci-fi board games were available at the time. (Shadowlord, Dungeon, Dark Tower, and the TSR minigames) My group also dabbled in Star Frontiers, Marvel Super Heroes RPG, and the old Middle Earth Role Playing System.

My gaming was in a lull during my college years as I sought out the campus game groups but they only seemed interested in Battletech, which I was not interested in playing. I spent the time instead using computer and video games to fulfill my gaming entertainment needs.

After graduating from college, I began playing Advanced Heroquest and Magic: the Gathering with some of my old DnD buddies. Magic led to us playing many bad card games during the CCG explosion of the mid 90’s, and Advanced Heroquest led us into the world of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000, from which I have never returned. I have been an avid collector of Games Workshop armies, terrain and related games ever since. In 1997 I helped found what would be re-named in 1999 as “Paper Street Products” Gaming Club. We regularly play all of the Warhammer series, including 40K, Bloodbowl, Mordheim and various board games every Sunday evening at my house in Sioux City.

During my time as a Magic player, I stumbled across an interesting looking board game that the manager of Rainbow Sports cards offered me at cost since whoever ordered it had never picked it up. After a few games of “Robo Rally” my wallet would never be the same. Soon I began buying and playing most any specialty board game I could get my hands on. It didn’t take long for my collection to swell up to it’s current level, which can be viewed here: Click here to view game collection.

I have been attending MAGE Cons for many years and hosting Games Workshop events for the last few. I was the convention manager for MAGE Spring Con I and II and MAGE Con South XIX and XX. I am willing to play most any kind of game any time.
