These general policies cover all M.A.G.E. sponsered CONS. More specific policies will be published in each convention’s on-site registration books.

Registration Policy: The Convention Registration Fee is a Membership Fee, NOT an Entry Fee. Registration Fees are Membership Dues, which allows attendees all benefits of M.A.G.E. Membership. All checks for registration can be written to “Mage-Con (North or South)”.
A $25.00 fee will be charged for NSF returned checks.

Attendance Policy: All Participants are required to wear their badges at all times. If you lose it, another may be purchased at normal prices. The Convention Manager reserves the right to remove anyone displaying unacceptable behavior.

Visitor status confers the following benefits and limitations:

1. Visitors May observe, but not participate in gaming events.
2. Visitors May take materials on the freebee tables.
3. Visitors May make purchases at the dealer tables.
4. Visitors May participate in special events (art contest, miniature painting, costume contest and auction) under ineligible status. (meaning ineligible to receive prizes other than honorable mention)
5. Visitors May act as security or registration volunteers.
6. Visitors Do Not receive On-site booklets or registration materials.
7. Though limited in their participation of the convention, Visitors are still bestowed a Full membership in M.A.G.E.
8. People who need access to the convention area temporarily (to contact attendees, deliver things, etc.) will be allowed a special badge while completing their business if not escorted by convention security.
   

Event Registration: You may pre-register for up to 6 events only. You may register for any additional events on-site at the convention. Event forms will be on display near the information and registration desk. Each Game Master will pick up their forms just prior to the start of their scheduled event. If registered players have not arrived within 10 min. of the start of the event, the Game Master has the right to allow alternates to participate in their event.

Open Gaming: Open gaming is both allowed and encouraged at all MAGE Conventions. Ask at the information booth for available tables and then list your game on the open Gaming Bulletin Board.

Costumes: All attendees are encouraged to wear costumes, but please show good taste. Weapons or Weapon Replicas will be allowed at the discretion of the convention manager. Convention manager and staff reserve the right to bar entrance to the convention area to anyone in a costume that is deemed to be offensive or not in good taste.

Food Policy: NO Alcoholic Beverages are allowed in the convention area. A settlement with the Marina Inn has allowed MAGE to have an open food policy. Attendees will be able to bring in their own food and/or have food delivered to the Convention Center. No food will be sold by Marina Inn, MAGE or the attending vendors.

Volunteer/Con Bucks: Anyone who works at the convention still pays the registration fee. After working their shift, the appropriate refund will be given. One shift worked will earn a refund of $5 in Con Bucks (redeemable with any dealer on site) Any Game Master that has a listed event in the on site booklet will pay their registration fee also. After their event is completed they will receive a refund of $5 in Con Bucks. If however, the event is canceled for any reason, no refund can be offered. There will be no refunds for Assistant GM’s unless pre-approved by convention management. There will be more details given in the GM’s Packet received at the convention. Any single attendee may earn a maximum of $15 in Con Bucks.

Dealers have 30 days to redeem their con bucks. Con bucks will be exchanged for 100% of their face value only if the required fields are filled in.
